Looking for a professional groomer for your Poodle or Pomeranian?
We offer professional Poodle and Pomeranian grooming in Miami with a specialized approach to coat type, breed structure, haircut style, and the dog’s overall condition. Grooming is not only about making a dog look cute. The right grooming keeps the coat clean, healthy, manageable, and styled in a way that fits the breed and the owner’s desired look.
Our grooming service is led by Liza, a professional groomer with over 6 years of experience specializing in Poodle haircuts and Pomeranian grooming. From Toy Poodles and Mini Poodles to all Pomeranian types, we understand how different coats need to be washed, dried, brushed, shaped, and maintained so the final result looks beautiful without damaging the coat.
Full Grooming Service
Our full grooming service includes a complete bath experience using professional grooming shampoos and conditioners selected for the dog’s coat type, skin needs, texture, and desired result. A Poodle with a curly coat, a fluffy Pomeranian with a double coat, a puppy coming in for its first groom, and a dog with dry or tangled hair do not all need the same products or technique.
Each grooming appointment will include bath, conditioning, drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, coat preparation, and a full haircut. We offer classic Poodle breed cuts, teddy bear cuts, puppy cuts, rounded faces, clean feet, sanitary trims, and custom grooming styles depending on the dog’s coat, structure, and the owner’s preference.
Poodle Grooming
Poodles require regular professional grooming because their coat continues to grow and can quickly become tangled or matted without proper maintenance. We groom Toy Poodles, Mini Poodles, and small Poodle puppies with attention to coat texture, face shape, body proportions, and the style that best suits each dog.
Whether you want a soft teddy bear cut, a clean and elegant classic Poodle haircut, a fluffy puppy style, or a practical everyday trim, we shape the coat to create a balanced, polished result. Our goal is to keep the dog comfortable while creating a beautiful haircut that matches the Poodle’s natural elegance and personality.
Pomeranian Grooming
Pomeranian grooming requires a different technique because Pomeranians have a double coat. One of the most common problems owners face at regular grooming salons is that many groomers do not understand how to correctly groom a Pom. Shaving a Pomeranian is not recommended because it can damage the natural coat structure and may increase the risk of poor regrowth, thinning, or bald patches.
At Fancy Pets Planet, we do not shave Pomeranians for cosmetic haircuts. We focus on proper breed grooming using scissor work, coat shaping, bathing, drying, brushing, and careful trimming to keep the Pom fluffy, rounded, clean, and beautiful while protecting the coat. A correct Pomeranian haircut should enhance the dog’s natural teddy bear look without destroying the coat.
Alopecia and Coat Recovery Support for Pomeranians
We also offer coat support grooming for Pomeranians with thinning hair, coat damage, or alopecia concerns. This service uses professional grooming materials selected to support the skin and coat, improve coat condition, and help create the best possible environment for hair regrowth.
Because every Pom’s coat condition is different, this service is reviewed individually. Please contact us to learn more about Pomeranian alopecia coat support and whether this grooming option may be suitable for your dog.
Pricing
Haircuts begin at $75 and may increase depending on the desired result, the dog’s size, coat condition, behavior, cooperation level, knots, mats, tangles, and the amount of extra work needed.
Dogs with heavy matting, neglected coats, difficult handling, or highly detailed haircut requests may require additional time and an adjusted grooming price. Final pricing is based on the condition of the dog and the work needed to safely complete the groom.
When to Start Grooming
We recommend starting professional grooming from approximately 3 months old so puppies can get used to the grooming process early. Regular grooming helps a puppy learn how to stand, accept brushing, tolerate the dryer, stay calm during nail trimming, and behave better during future appointments.
For Poodles and Pomeranians, grooming is not something that should start only when the coat becomes difficult. Early, positive grooming experience makes a major difference in the dog’s behavior, comfort, and long-term coat maintenance.
Home Coat Care Between Appointments
Professional grooming works best when owners continue coat care at home. Depending on the breed, haircut, coat length, and lifestyle, most dogs need regular brushing at least 3 times per week. Some coats may need more frequent brushing, especially Poodles, fluffy Pomeranians, dogs in longer teddy bear cuts, or dogs with soft puppy coats.
Bathing and drying at home may be needed weekly or every two weeks depending on the dog’s coat type, activity level, and skin condition. Proper drying is very important because leaving moisture inside a thick or curly coat can contribute to tangles, matting, odor, and skin irritation. (Young puppies can catch a cold if left wet!)
Monthly grooming is recommended for best results, especially for Poodles, Pomeranians, and small luxury breeds that require coat shaping and regular maintenance.
